Information for the nominator

This contest is being undertaken by the Mount Prospect Historical Society as a fundraiser, but also as a way to learn about the things in Mount Prospect that make Mount Prospect a special place to live.

You can nominate a building, a business, an organization, a person, a park, a place, a dish at a restaurant, or pretty much anything that makes Mount Prospect special for you.

You can make multiple nominations; however, you can only submit one nomination for each item. (I.E. you can submit nominations for Park X, Restaurant Y and Building Z, but you cannot submit three nominations for Building Z.) You can ask your friends and family to also nominate your choice, but you can only submit one nomination.

All of the submissions will be collected by the Historical Society and from these nominations ten finalists will be selected.

Voting stations will be set up in public places around Mount Prospect where people will be able to vote for their choices of the finalists. Members of the public will vote by putting a dollar, or a quarter or any amount of money they would like, into the container for the prospective wonder they would like to vote for. Voters can vote for as many potential wonders as they would like and can vote as many times as they want. The top seven, in terms of money donated to support them will be named the Seven Wonders of Mount Prospect in 2008.
